Vodcast: Musings on Divorce

Hello! I’m Sean Craig D. Alsim, a first-year BS Development Communication student at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños. In partial fulfillment of the requirements of DEVC11, we were tasked to write weekly entries on the topics assigned. For week 7, our topic was the development beat, which we were to discuss how we decided about the topic we will focus on for our news. I chose the Absolute Divorce Bill because it resonates deeply with me. How long will we keep favoring the sustenance of traditional beliefs over the wellbeing of grieving families? How long will women endure the abuse of their spouses? How long will the children of these broken marriages endure the misery of seeing their parents fight?
